580 girls competed at this years Chicago Public League Cross Country Championship. From those girls only one team and five individuals qualified for the State Cross Country Championship.

Samaya Lewis will be the first girl ever to represent Brooks in a cross country state final. She placed 17th out of 137 runners at sections Saturday. The week before Samaya looked amazing coming in first and made history again becoming the first Regional Champion.

The track team won the indoor city title, had top 10 nationally ranked athletes, city outdoor event champions, and our team placed 5th in state.
