Congratulations to Brooks Academic Center (AC) and High School (HS) Chess Teams!

Brooks AC Chess Team won their first team trophy coming in 3rd Place in the K-9 Novice Section U400.  Kendall Shepherd lead the team with 5/5 wins followed by:

• Amir Nesbeth 4 wins
• Cherish Lewis 2.5 wins
• Christian Hampton 2 wins

Individual trophies went to:

• Kendall Shepherd 1st place
• Amir Nesbeth 7th place

Taylor Henderson won 8th Place in the K-9 Reserve Section U900.

In the High School category, Brooks' H.S. Chess Team won 1st Place in the Greater Chicago Chess Tournament K-12 Reserve Section U1100 for the 2nd time in a row!
The team was lead by Joseph Garza with 4/5 wins followed by:

• David Perez 4/5 wins
• Erik Villasenor 4/5 wins
• Benjamin Garza 4/5 wins
• Ivan Valdez 3/5 wins
