Boys making history this weekend for the end of year ILLINOIS Indoor Top Times Track Championships in Bloomington, IL: they set school records by receiving medals for: 4 x 200 relay, 4th place medal (Alexze Whatley, Justin Houston, Shannon Thomas and Julian Crann); 800 meters, 7th place medal to Javier Frausto; and 400 meters, 8th place medal to Alexze Whatley.

Javier Frausto won 1st place in the 1600 meters; Alexze Whatley got 3rd Place, in the 200 meters and the 4 x 200 relay Brooks team took home the 2nd place silver medal!

Brooks Track Team Saturday at Trine University in Angola, Indiana, won 4 x400 relay and Justin Houston Broke school long jump indoor record with a jump of 20'4 3/4

Brooks' varsity team won silver medal in the 4 x 400 Relay at East Saint Louis DeLasalle Indoor Invite Championship. The junior varsity team won the bronze medal in their section's 4 x 400 Relay at East Saint Louis DeLasalle indoor Invite championship

Justin Houston ranked as the number 7 fastest 400 runners in the State of ILLINOIS and earning Bronze Medal at the East Saint Louis DeLasalle Invite Championship this weekend.

The Brooks Track Team breaks another school record and now is number 2 in the state Class 2A in the 4 x 200 relay running 1:35.12 at Grand Valley University in Grands Rapids Michigan (Alexze Whatley, Justin Houston, Javier Frausto, and Julian Crann)!
UPDATE - February 12
Over weekend track track team earned silver medal in the 4 x 400 at the prestiges Proviso West Annual Valentine Relays and currently the number one relay team in the state. Currently boys track team is ranked among the top 3 teams in their class 2A ranking (sprint relay category). Track team is on track to make history to be one of the top teams in City of Chicago and the State.
UPDATE - January 31
Members of Brooks Track Team were still on the move this weekend at Trine University in Angola Indiana. Justin Houston earned the sophomore number one spot in the State, class 2A, and a top spot on the varsity list in long jump with 17' 7.1/2". Shannon Thomas broke his Personal Record with a new time of 2.14.39 and made the top 10 best in the State. Erwin Lee set a school record in the 3200 meters with 11:10.40. Omari Moss set a new personal record of 2:17.68.
UPDATE - January 22
Under the Coaching and Leadership of Coach Muhammad, the Brooks Boys Track Team have been outstanding this weekend breaking their own 4 x 200 relay school record with a new time of 1:36.46, at the Youngstown HS Invite at Youngstown University and placing them currently number 1 in the State! Congratulations boys track team (Alexze Whatley, Justin Houston, Javier Frausto, and Shannon Thomas)!
UPDATE - January 17
Over the weekend the Brooks Track Team Members broke the school record in the mile relay running 3:28.51 at the Grand Valley New Balance Invitational Saturday, which places them as number one in mile relay for the State of Illinois.

The 4x400 meter relay team broke the school's indoor record today, hold a top 5 state time for this specialty.
UPDATE - December 27
Because of their top rank as a returning team, Brooks Track Team has been invited to the Midwest Team Challenge to take place in Paducah, KY on April 28th and 29th, 2017. This meet is by invitation only and includes top teams from Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee and Kentucky.
