Brooks College Prep students Neema Morris and Rafael Noriega participated in the ILMEA (Illinois Music Educator Association) District 1 Honors Music Festival this past weekend on November 17th at Oak Park and River Forest High School.

Over 26,000 of the finest high school musicians from the Chicagoland area auditioned to participate in this prestigious event. Of that number, less than 8% of those students were selected to participate.

Neema Morris was accepted into the District 1 Honors Choir singing Soprano II. Rafael Noriega was selected into the District 1 Honors Band playing Bass Trombone.

These spots were very competitive and we are very proud of these students for representing us at this event. Their performances were absolutely amazing! We hope that Neema and Rafael continue to strive for excellence in music!
